Why your email address is so important

Provided by Mercer: 16/6/10

The 80s and early 90s saw the introduction of kerbside recycling schemes that allow us to easily recycle common household items.

Recycling plays a vital role in reducing landfill but demand for paper is still growing, despite the advances in electronic communication systems.

Twenty full-grown trees and over 90,000 litres of water are required to make one tonne of paper! Using recycled paper saves 13 trees and 31,000 litres of water, so it’s easy to see why the transition to online services is so important.

In late 2010 we will launch an online preferences tool. This secure online facility will allow you to choose the communications you receive by post and those you prefer to receive online.

To get started we’re asking members to sign in at mercersupertrust.com and ensure we have your current email address.

To sign in to your secure member area you will need your employer / plan number, member number (contained in your welcome letter or last annual statement) and your PIN. If you can’t remember or locate your PIN please call our Helpline on 1800 682 525 8.00am and 7.00pm Monday to Friday (AEST and AEDT).

By providing your email address you agree the trustee of the Mercer Super Trust may use this address to send you information concerning your super electronically (including via a website download link) such as annual reports, periodic statements, transaction confirmations, significant event notices, member communications and (unless you request otherwise by calling the Helpline) for marketing and research purposes.
