Mercer has picked up two awards at the 2009 Rainmaker Marketing Excellence Awards for 'Best Website of the Year - Financial Advice' and 'Marketer of the Year - Financial Advice'.
The awards come after Mercer launched a new website this year, designed to increase the effectiveness of promotions on the home page and encourage repeat visits by making important information easier to find, and expanded their personal financial advisory services across multiple channels, including over the phone and face to face.
Mercer’s Outsourcing Business Leader for Asia Pacific, David Anderson, welcomed the awards and said Mercer upholds the member experience as one of its most important priorities.
“We’re constantly seeking input and feedback from members about their overall experience with their super fund and their financial adviser. Our job is to make super easier for members and to empower them to take charge. We believe this approach and openness has been central to our success,” Mr Anderson said.
“Super funds need to offer more than bread and butter services these days if they are to retain members. There is a flight to quality among members looking for not just stable investments, but tailored communication, education, and personal advice,” he said.
The Rainmaker Marketing Excellence Awards acknowledge an individual, a group of individuals or an organisation in the wealth management industry for achievements of the highest standard in sales, marketing and business development across the investment management, superannuation, insurance and financial planning fields.
